HARGREAVES, Betty Jane (nee Salter) - Passed away peacefully at the Woodlands of Sunset on Friday, July 10, 2015 in her 86th year. Wife of the late Douglas Hargreaves (2011). Loving mother of Doug Hargreaves (Tara), Don Hargreaves (Ann-Carol), Barry Hargreaves (Janice), Jane Switzer (Jim) and Linda Hargreaves (Kevin). Cherished grandmother of Kody, Calvin, Shawn, Lauren, Brandon (Alicia), Brittany, Brooke, Benjamin and Colin and great-grandmother of Bella and Charley. Dear sister of Bob Salter. Predeceased by her parents Ambrose and Isobel Salter and brother Bill. Betty always had a smile for everyone and never lost her positive outlook on life. Her spirit, quick wit and graciousness will be sadly missed but never forgotten. The family will receive friends at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME , 241 West Main Street, Welland on Tuesday, July 14th from 5 - 8 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Alzheimer Society. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Woodlands of Sunset for their exceptional care and compassion.
