Floyd William Pruitt, age 89, of Aurora, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Aurora Nursing Center. He was born February 28, 1930 in Wirt, Oklahoma, the son of Earl Floyd Pruitt and Emma Altrice (Sorrels) Pruitt.
Floyd was a United States Navy veteran and owner/operator of a bottled water company in California. He loved to do woodworking and was a member of the Aurora Baptist Temple. In 195O, he married Otheda Faye (Hazen) Hartin and they had three children. On 22 August 1965 in Los Angeles County, California, he married Albina M. Lancelloti, known also as Linda. They adopted a son, Damon. Linda died in March 1980 and on November 1, 1980, Floyd married Mary Viola (Merz) Lonergan in Los Angeles County, California. She preceded him in death on January 18, 2007.
Floyd is survived by his son, Damon Pruitt, of Aurora; two stepsons, Bill Lonergan of Overland Park, Kansas and James Lonergan of Republic, Missouri; two sisters, Dolores Brevell, of Aurora and Mary Lou Hines of Philomath, Oregon and several nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Emma; wife, Mary; brother, Delbert Pruitt; and two sisters, Ruth Ang and Charlette Hestdalen.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora with burial in Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
