Sandra was a graduate of Seagoville High School, and also attended Abilene Christian College.
On December 22, 1962, she married Gary L Nash of Bardwell, Texas. Sandra and Gary took their honeymoon to Niagara Falls, and the trip would begin a lifelong passion for traveling. After marrying, they lived in Dallas, and Sandra worked for Southwest Life.
Gary and Sandra moved to Waxahachie, where they had three children. Sandra is survived by all: Jana Nash Richard, Mark Nash, and David Nash.
Sandra stayed home with her family and was involved in teaching Sunday School and the ministry at College Street Church of Christ, now Brown Street Church of Christ.
In 1974, the family moved to San Antonio. Sandra continued her involvement with the MacArthur Park Church of Christ through teaching and multiple other support roles for the ministry of the church.
At this time Sandra began her work as an Artist. She enjoyed painting the scenery and landscapes of the many beautiful places in the United States where the family traveled. She shared her work with friends and attended many art shows.
Through the years, Sandra and Gary continued traveling among the Western United States, either on a motorcycle or a motorhome. They enjoyed the wonderful national parks of the Grand Tetons, as well as the annual summer trip to Alaska. Most notably they enjoyed the travels with family and close friends. They collected wonderful memories while camping or skiing in Colorado or New Mexico.
Additional trips would be made to Boston to visit their two grandchildren. Sandra was a loving grandmother and is survived by Emily L. Richard of Boston, Massachusetts, and Charles Richard of Scituate, Massachusetts. Additionally, she has two lovely twin granddaughters, Stella and Sony of Marlow, Oklahoma.
The family would like to thank everyone for the love, support and visits to Sandra during her stay at Matlock Place. We know she had a smile for everyone
Services celebrating Sandra’s life will be held at 11 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Brown Street Church of Christ. Friends and family are encouraged to gather for a time of visitation from 10 to 11 prior to the service. Sandra will be laid to rest in the Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis, following services.
