Donna Lynn Whitaker, a 53-year-old resident of Burley, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, June 29, 2019.
Donna was born on October 18, 1965, in Burley, Idaho to Dell and Barbara Smith. She was the oldest of six siblings. She attended school in Oakley, Idaho, where she enjoyed playing volleyball and other sports.
Donna enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, or barbequing with family. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandkids whether it was playing cars and farm with the boys or having girls' night painting nails and wearing face masks. Snapchat was a hobby they all enjoyed doing whether apart or together.
Donna is survived by her father, Dell E. Smith; mother, Barbara Craner; children, Nichole (Josh) Smith, Brittany (Cameron) Sharp, and Tiffany (Jordan) Oakes; grandchildren, Jaivan Boyer, Hayden Oakes, Parker Oakes, and Haylee Siegers; siblings, Dixie Smith, Dell L. (Loretta) Smith Jr., Deanna (Rick) Smith, and Delta (Micky) Smith; as well as multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donna was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Smith; granddaughter, Kiesha Dawn Boyer; and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St, in Burley. Burial will follow at the Oakley Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, July 5, and from 10 until 10 :45 Saturday preceding the funeral.
