Jerry Welch of Hiram, Georgia, passed away on April 1, 2017. He was born on March 7, 1961, in Chickamauga, Georgia, to Leonard Welch and to the late Sharon Gail Wallin Welch. Mr. Welch was also preceded in death by his sister Rhonda Johnson. Mr. Welch was a loving simple man who was known to be a jokster and loved to make people laugh, as well as being an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Mr. Welch worked in retail at Target for 14 years and was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Powder Springs, Georgia.
Survivors include a daughter Mandie and Dave Millican of Bryant, Alabama, a sister Jan Welch of Hiram, Georgia, granddaughter Annabella Welch and a special dog Katie Bug.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 4, 2017 , at 11:00 AM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jackie Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Sweetwater Memorial Park in Dallas, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on April 3, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Mickey Johnston, Dave Millican, , Mike Welch, Austin Helinger, Mike Marshall, Dale Dothager, Eric Moon, and Todd Hunt, and David Strickland will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
