Ernest Baldwin
Funeral for Ernest Alvin Baldwin of Southeast Portland will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ross Hollywood Chapel, with private entombment at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum. Mr. Baldwin died Sunday at his home. He was 87.
Born in Bandon, Mr. Baldwin had lived in Portland since 1902. He was a millworker for 34 years before retiring. He was a member of Millman’s Local 1120 and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.
Survivors include his sisters, Laura VanTassel of Portland and Mabel Schumacher of Pasadena, Calif.; stepson, Fred Bailey of Portland; stepdaughters Lulu Krause of Portland, Pearl Steenson of Stacey, Wash., and Leona Christensen of West Point, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the American Heart Association.
