Services for Nathan Clarence Patterson, 81, were at 2 p.m. November 6, 1991 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Genoa Goad, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Patterson died about 2:55 p.m. on November 4 in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. Death was ruled due to natural causes. He was born in Purdon, TX and had lived in Dickens County since 1937. He married May Butler on February 6, 1938. He was a member of Spur VFW Post 7212 and the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, May Patterson, Spur; a son, Leon Patterson, Tijers, NM; a daughter, Erline Cain, Pasadena, CA; one sister, Jewel Shapel, McCamey; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

One son, Curtis Patterson, preceded him in death in 1978.

Pallbearers included Pete Day, Bob Shrimpton, Richard Kautz, Snooks Williams, Clomer Randall and Robert Hahn.
