Diana graduated from Salinas High School and studied at Hartnell College. Her favorite was photography, which she took with her father. She worked for a short time at Woolworth's. In 1979, Diana started working for the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department. In 2016, Diana retired as a Sup. Dept Info Systems Coordinator. She worked for the Department for 38 years.
Diana was one of the very first members of the US Grand Priory of The Most Honourable Order of the Rose or The Order of the Rose, where she served faithfully as a spiritual prayer warrior for nearly two decades.
Diana was a member of Salinas Valley Community Church. She volunteered doing many things with the church. Her favorite was to play bingo with the residents of Katherine’s Convalescent Home. She loved to see their faces light up when they won a bingo prize.
She loved her family very much. Diana is survived by her parents; Donald and Marie Moore; her daughters; Natasha Layman, Heather Kelley (fiancé, Tim Krauter), and Erin (Austin) Ingle; her sisters; Debra (Doug) Johnson, Patricia Felipe, and Eva (Keith) Harms; her three nieces, and four nephews; and her “God grandsons” Levi and Logan.
Anyone who knew Lady Diana, knows this woman was full of grace, kindness, love and a blessing from God. Her time here with us is done, and the day we see her again will be glorious.
A Memorial Service will take place on August 24, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Salinas Valley Community Church, 368 San Juan Grade Rd., Salinas, Ca. 93906.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Diana’s name to:
