Ricky Wayne "Rick" Black was born April 7, 1946 to Lloyd and Dolores (Brandt) Black in Watonga, OK and passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the age of 73. In May of 2012 Rick made a decision to re-dedicate his life to the Lord and was baptized. Rick made his home in Yukon, OK with his wife of many years.

The oldest of four children, he worked on the family farm and Safeway Supermarket in Watonga, OK. He attended school at Greenfield, OK, graduating with honors as the Valedictorian of the class of 1964. After graduation he moved to Oklahoma City, OK, where he attended Oklahoma University and Central State University, graduating with a degree in business administration.

He went to work for Oklahoma Farm Bureau in Oklahoma City, OK, where he worked as a claims manager for 41 years. One of his passions was being the owner of Homes by Rick Black. Some of the homes he built were showcased in Parade of Homes where he received The Eagle Award three times.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Dolores (Brandt) Black; step-father, Marvin Winters; grandparents, Ed and Martha Brandt and Eber and Millie Black; sisters-in-law, Shelley DuBois and LaHonda Roberts; nephews, Dale Pitzer and Drew Black and great-great niece, Peyton Goossen.

Celebration of Life services will be held at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon. Burial and Graveside services will follow at the IOOF Cemetery, Watonga, OK.
