Tony proudly served his country and retired as a Colonel with U.S. Army.
He was the long-time lead instructor of the Spring Hill High School JROTC where he devoted much of his time preparing cadets for their military careers. He was a member of the Central Christian Church. Tony enjoyed riding motorcycles and was member of the Mule Town Hogs Motorcycle Club. He and family enjoyed travelling and going to NASCAR races and he also enjoyed working on automobiles.
He was a great man, loving husband, supportive father, caring a fun grandpa, son, brother, uncle, an awesome teacher, brave soldier, very hard worker and friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Virginia Cornelius; daughters, Aimee and Jenna Cornelius; father, Mickey (Kathi) Cornelius; brother, Matthew (Lisa) Cornelius; sister, Mikki (Thad) Chase; grandchildren, Gage Cornelius and Gracie Hodge.
Preceded in death by mother, Janet Carter Cornelius.
Funeral services will be held at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Pastor Tracey Cameron officiating. . A private family entombment will be held at Spring Hill Memorial Park, Evergreen Mausoleum with full military honors. The cadets of Spring High School JROTC will serve as pallbearers.
