Jessie Lee Edwards was born August 12, 1950 - July, 13, 2018 to the late Arthur and Mamie Kelly Edwards in Branchville, SC.

She attended Branchville Locket School and was converted at an early age at Zion AME Church in Branchville. Our precious angel came to Palmetto, FL as a young girl from Branchville, SC. She was employed by the Holiday Inn Riverfront for over twenty-five years as a housekeeper. She later began working for the School Board of Manatee County until she retired. She absolutely loved her family and had her own way of making everyone of them special to her.

She has always been close to her siblings so much so her dedicated brother Wallace held her hand and battled this journey every step of the way with her. You will never meet a more cheerful giver. She gave on her sick bed and continues to give from her death bed. She will be missed by many her humor and sternness will serve as a constant reminder for many years to come until we meet again.

She was preceded by her brothers Arthur, Jr., George, Henry Lee, Harley, Sr., and Delane Edwards, sisters; Elloree Robinson, Lessie Bowman, Rebecca Edwards and Olivia Edwards-Miller.
She is survived by three loving children; James (Dilian) Pate, Jr., Sherri Pate and Vanzetta Pate-Sutton (David), three brothers Woodrow (Maggie) of Bradenton, FL, Laurie, Sr (Ethel) and Wallace, Sr (Angela) of Palmetto, FL and one sister Mamie Lou King of Bainbridge, GA, nineteen grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren. One Goddaughter Kierra Mitchell and her six children. Special friends Alonzo Arline of Bradenton, FL, Juanita Poole and Laverne Green of Palmetto, FL and a host of relatives, sorrowing friends and her dog King.

Family will receive friends from 5-8 PM, Friday, July 27, 2018 from the Glass Chapel of Skyway Memorial Funeral Home in Palmetto, FL. A home going service will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Happy Gospel Church in Bradenton, FL. Interment will follow at Skyway Memorial Gardens in Palmetto, FL.
