"Word was received in the city yesterday of the death of Mrs Mary Ostrom Coburn, widow of C Marvin Coburn, which occurred at her home in East Orange, NJ, where she had resided for many years. Funeral services will be held today, and the body will be brought to Titusville, accompanied by the daughter, Miss Alice Coburn. The funeral party will arrive Thursday morning and will be taken direct to Woodlawn for interment beside Mr Coburn, who died many years ago. Rev A O Caldwell, DD, of the First Presbyterian church will conduct [the] committal service. Mr and Mrs Coburn were residents of Titusville in the pioneer days and resided on West Main street in the residence now owned by W E Fertig. Mr Coburn was for a number of years organist and his wife sang in the choir of the Presbyterian church. He was employed by the Standard Oil company and they left Titusville 50 or more years ago."
