O'BRIEN, Mary Jane, 73, of Sebring, FL, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospice. She was born on October 28, 1940 in Coral Gables, FL, daughter of the late Curtis Emmett Haley and Loretto Bolger Haley. She moved to Sebring in 1979 from Coral Gables, FL. Mary Jane was President of Brake Service of Central Florida. A member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, University of Miami Alpha Chi Chapter; a founder of the Alumni Association in Hampton Roads, VA; Past President's of D.A.R., Coral Gables Country Club of Coral Gables; Past Presidents of Woodlawn Elementary and Sebring Middle Schools, Guardian Ad Litem for Highlands County Courts and former President and Director of the Ridge Trails Association. She was active in the Statewide Human Rights Advocacy Committee and former Chair for the Committee on Childrens Rights. Mary Jane is survived by her loving family, husband, Merritt; children, Annlynn Harris, Marietta, GA, Robert J. LeFiles, III, Tallahassee, FL, Denise S. LeFiles, Sebring, Merritt F. O'Brien, Jr., Gainesville, FL, Alison M. Phillips, San Antonio, TX and Karen Ann Alexander, Miami, FL; brother, Col. Curtis Wendell Haley, USAF, ret, WV; and sister, Loretto (Haley) Murphy, Vero Beach, FL; and 11 grandchildren. A mass will be celebrated, 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 17th, 2014 at St. Catherine Catholic Church. Memorials are requested to Sebring Sunrise Foundation, Inc., P.O.
