Ruth Maxine Hall, 99, of Ottumwa, died at 9:18 p.m. April 25, 2021 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
Ruth was born August 15, 1921 in Brighton to Sylvenus and Aletha Corr Cornell. She married Walter T. Hall on December 31, 1937 and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2000.
Ruth was currently a member of Pickwick Community Church and had been a member of Bethany Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher to those with special needs. She had been a member of Y Women and Sweet Adelines and had served on the Crest Home board.
Surviving are her daughters, Janice Sinclair of Bonduarant and Marilee (Dean) Miller of Milton; 8 grandchildren, Julie, Jeff, Angela, Holly, Kelly, Renae, Susan and Richard; 25 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-great-grandchild; a sister, Mary Murray of Tennessee and her Woodland Estates family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Hall; siblings, Gladys Brown, Lucille Lyons, Virgie Ware, Doris Mealy, Irene Christy, Laura McElroy, Nellie Anderson, Esther Green, George Cornell and Harold Cornell.
Her body has been cremated.
Private graveside memorial services and inurnment will be held at Memorial Lawn Cemetery with Bob Carnahan officiating.
