Fred S Plank, 72, RFD 2, West Liberty, died at 7:04 AM Wednesday in Mary Rutan hospital where he was admitted Feb 25 for medical treatment. He had been in ill health for several months.

Fred Samuel Plank was born Aug 9, 1893, in West Liberty, a son of Samuel B and Saloma Plank Plank. He was a farmer and employee of the Liberty Oil and Gas Service Station in West Liberty.
On Feb 12, 1919, he was married to Lela M Yoder who survives with four daughters, Mrs Marion (Pauline) Moats, Mt Sterling; Mrs Kenneth (Evelyn) Holderman, Dunlap, Ind; Miss Donna Plank, at home, and Mrs Richard (Arletha) Detrick, RFD 1 Bellefontaine. A son died in infancy and one grandson is dead. There are six living grand children, one brother, Marion Plank in Pennsylvania, and an uncle, David Plank, West Liberty who remain, One brother proceeded him in death.

The deceased was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church in West Liberty.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Wilkins Funeral home in West Liberty.
