BREWER, Barry Foster Age 60. "A friend to all, loved by many." Passed away December 10, 2008. Born April 3, 1948. Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Foster Brewer. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Debbie Butler Brewer; daughter, Martha Ann Hawkins (Joel); son, Tyne Brewer; father, Charles "Tyne" Brewer; sisters, Robbie Davis (Hank) and Debbie Anglin (Terry). He graduated Gallatin High School in 1966, David Lipscomb College in 1970. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and current CEO of 21st Century Christian. He was also a member of Nashville Golf, Bison Booster Club. Mr. Brewer was a lifelong Christian worshipping at Harpeth Hills and Hillsboro Church of Christ. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Hillsboro Church of Christ, with F. LaGard Smith and Mark McInteer officiating. Pallbearers include: Bill Bryan, Burton Elrod, Al Fowler, Leslie Hasty, Scott Sanderson and Steve Staggs. Honorary Pallbearers include: Roy Alexander, Vaughn Allen, Mark Binkley, Bill Dean, Richard Dickerson, Stan Ezell, Farrell Haile, Larry Hasty, Dean Heady, Ronnie Hunter, Roger Loyd, Dick Morris, Carl Robinson, Nick Tenpenny, Tom Tignor and Elders at Hillsboro Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barry Brewer Athletic Scholarship @ Lipscomb University or Hillsboro Church of Christ Vision of Faith. Special thanks to "Barry's Buddies," Drs. Tom Callaway, Juli Horton, Tony Greco, Dan Couriel and TN Oncology staff. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday, at Hillsboro Church of Christ , 5800 Hillsboro Pk., Nashville, TN 37215.
