He graduated from Hillside High School in Durham, NC. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He was employed by the Winston-Salem Housing Authority as a maintenance worker for many years before retiring.
Jimmy was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Winston-Salem. Jimmy enjoyed being around his family and friends. He enjoyed all sports and his team was the San Francisco 49ers. He had an amazing personality and a sense of humor; he enjoyed laughing and making others laugh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
