Mr. Jerry Dale Robbins, age 70 of Cookeville, died suddenly Friday morning June 28, 2019 at his home.

He was known for his straightforward attitude and hard work ethic. Jerry was a most compassionate and giving person. When he took time away from work, he enjoyed cooking, gardening, dining, vacationing and hunting around the country. Just like his parents, he always enjoyed sharing baked goods or something from the garden with many friends.

Jerry was born in Cookeville, TN on Tuesday, October 19, 1948 to the late J.B. and Thelma Lee Jacques Robbins.

He graduated from Central High School and attended Tennessee Technological University before pursuing a longtime career in Landscaping and Irrigation.

For 42 years Jerry dedicated his life to serving our country through the Tennessee National Guard. During his time in the military, he had the opportunity to serve in Iraq as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW4). He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Jerry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Robbins; daughter, Rachel Addicks (Whit); son, Jason Robbins (Caitlin); stepdaughters Erica Stokes (Eric) and Vickie Hargis (Jamie); and grandchildren, Lucy and Carter Addicks, Ansley Robbins, Jackson Stokes, and Willa Hargis.

Funeral Services were held at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, with interment with Military Honors at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Dr. Charles McCaskey and Rev. Christian Smith will officiated.
