Barry Dwayne Scott, age 54, of Concord, passed away June 25, 2019. Barry grew up in Jonesboro and moved to Concord over 30 years ago. He loved the Lord and his family. Barry was super proud of his children. When he was young, he enjoyed playing baseball. He worked in the concrete business for many years and was currently a truck driver. Barry was a “good ol’ boy” who enjoyed dancing, hunting and fishing. He was a really good dancer and was proud of his Indian heritage.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Eskew Scott, his grandfathers, Billy Eskew and Hubert Scott and his Aunt Thelma June Cloud.
He is survived by his children: Brandon Scott and wife Diana of Zebulon, Jacob Scott of Newnan and Danielle Barronton of Milner; grandchildren: Adalyn and Autumn Scott, Jada Barronton, and Makayla Cowan; father: Larry Scott of Concord; brother and sister-in-law: Shane and Noelle Scott of Meansville; sister and brother-in-law: Jonette and Nathan Andersen of Zebulon; nieces and nephews: Shaun Scott, Kaylee Scott, Taylor Andersen, Bailey Andersen and Brooke Andersen; grandmothers: Martha Eskew of Concord and Novis Scott of Concord.
Friends may visit family on Friday, June 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Aunt Norma Zebrowski officiating.
