Jacob Lynn Hayes, 54, of Paragould died Friday, June 22, in the Regional Medical Center at Memphis from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was a tool and die maker at Hytrol in Jonesboro for 32 years. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Paragould.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Hayes of the home; two sons, Michael Hayes and David Hayes, both of Carbondale, Ill.; two daughters, Melissa Ham of Jayess, Miss., and Melynda Hatcher of Royalton, Ill.; one stepson, Gary Yarbrough of Louisville, Ky.; five brothers, Joe Hayes, Jerry Hayes, Phillip Hayes and Bill Hayes, all of Paragould, and Richard Hayes of Sebring, Fla.; four sisters, Shelby O'Dell and Lucille Jackson, both of Paragould, Becky Byram of Holland, Mo., and Gwenda Tipton, of Grenada, Miss.; six grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Goldie Hayes; and one brother, Lavaughan Hayes.

Funeral services were in First United Pentecostal Church on Linwood Drive (Highway 49 South). Burial was in Brown's Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: Eddie Anderson, Dewayne Cooper, Jimmy Gazaway, Jerry Hancock, Tommy Haynes and Johnny Heritage.
