Keith Jerome Mason Sr, was born January 4, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio to Willie and Delores (Shepherd) Mason at the University Hospital, he 8th eldest of ten children. At age 58, he passed on Saturday, June 23, 2019 at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.

From his birth to his death, he was a well-respected man, a loving father of three, a devoted grandfather of eight, and a faithful husband. His willingness to service others was a direct expression and reflection of his walk with GOD; which evoked positive change and made a difference in other people’s lives.

He married the love of his life, Rozalene Dee Reed and together they were blessed with three beautiful children: Rondale, Brandy, and Keith Jr.

Keith Senior attended West High School and later enlisted into the United States Army as a Stryker and was honorably discharged (1982).

Later, he began his career at the Columbus Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) where his leadership, team-driven perspectives and work ethic gained him the advancement and recognition he earned until the day he retired as a Union leader and recorder helping others in his field-internationally, nationally and locally.

After retiring from COTA he became a black belt (2016) and devoted himself to his family, sports and travel until his untimely death.

His sense of humor, love for sports and music, and peaceful nature will be forever missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie James Mason II, Delores Dee Mason; siblings, Eddie Hosey Shepherd, Michael Hill Mason, and Terry Lynn Mason.

Keith is survived by his wife, Rozalene Dee (Reed) Mason; Children: Rondale Leshawn Mason, Brandy Micole (Mason) Younger-Voller, Keith Jerome Mason Jr; siblings, Patricia Anne (Mason) Walker, Willie James Mason III, Ricky Ricardo Mason, Rosalind Darlene (Mason) Hosey, John Darryl Mason, Cassius Lamont Burks; grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.
