A Celebration of Life visitation for Jonathan Taylor, 48 of Corinth, MS will be Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home.

Mr. Taylor passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at his residence in Corinth, MS. He was born June 21, 1971 in Iuka, MS to Edward Ray Taylor and Mary Cathy (Allen) Taylor.

He was of the Baptist faith.

The Chicago White Sox drafted him out of high school as a catcher. When he left Chicago, he played for the LA Dodgers Minor League.

Jonathan loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends, especially his daughters.

He is survived by his daughters, Hunter Taylor of Kansas City, Missouri and Jessie Taylor of Kansas City, Missouri; his father, Ed Taylor (Cathy Littlejohn Taylor) of Selmer, TN; his brothers, Shane Taylor (Beth) of Corinth, MS and Briley Taylor of Selmer, TN; his sister, Amanda Taylor of Corinth, MS; his best friend, Flint Northcutt of Greenfield, TN; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary "Cathy" (Allen) Taylor.
