PULASKI - Roy F. Arthur, 66, a former employee of the Sheffield Farms at Pulaski, died yesterday at the home of his son, Harold Arthur, on Salina st. here. He had been ill a year.
He was born Oct. 4, 1887, the son of Alvin and Rozina Bellinger Arthur, at Lowville. He attended school at Lowville, residing there until 1936 when he moved to Pulaski. In 1926 he married the former Edith Denslow of Booneville.
He starated work for Sheffield Farms at Lowville, and was transferred to Pulaski. He was forced to retire in 1952 due to ill health. He was a member of the Pulaski Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, three sons Harold and Lawrence of Pulaski and Gerald with the Navy at Queens Point, RI; a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Totten; and a brother Hugh, both of Lowville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Thursday at the home of his son, Harold Arthur. The Rev. James Pauley, pastor of Pulaski Methodist Church will officiate. Internment will be in Lowville Cemetery.
