Former St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer Lee V. Hall, DSN 4962, was hired as a civilian and entered the Police Academy on 12/18/1995. Officer Hall received his commission upon graduating from the academy on 05/24/1996. Officer Hall's first assignment was in the 3rd District. Officer Hall served a total of 2.93 years of faithful and dedicated service to the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Officer Hall resigned his commission on 11/24/1998 to continued his law enforcement career with the University City Police Department. Officer Hall, DSN 420, started on 6/25/99 and spent just a few years in uniform and was subsequently transferred to the Bureau of Investigation as a Detective, where he remained for the rest of his career. Detective Hall retired from University City Police Department on 10/6/2017. Detective Hall continued his law enforcement career serving once again with the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Officer on October 9, 2017 and was a Deputy Sheriff until his untimely passing.
Detective Hall's daughter Miss Shanette A. Hall, DSN 3984, is a second-generation law enforcement officer that serves in the Bureau of Field Operation's with the Saint Louis County Police Department.
It should be noted that Detective Hall selected a law enforcement career like his brothers before him. They were Officer Stephen Hall, DSN 2718, Officer Timothy Hall, DSN 3205, Sergeant Mark Hall, DSN 3414, of the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Detective Hall was a retiree of the United States Air Force and served from 10/01/1976 to 06/01/1995. He also served in the Persian Gulf War achieved the rank of E-6 which is a Technical Sergeant.
