Ellen M. (Angelo) Anderer died on Thursday June 21st at her home surrounded by her family. She was 53 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Anderer was a graduate of Brentwood High School Class of 1971 and Fitchburg State College Class of 1975. She had been a Needham resident for 15 years.
Mrs. Anderer was a much loved and respected teacher at Saint Joseph Elementary School and Monsignor Haddad Middle School for over 12 years. She was a member of the school advisory board.
Mrs. Anderer had a beautiful singing voice. In her spare time, she enjoyed interior decorating.
The beloved wife for 25 years of Barry M. Anderer and the loving mother of Carrie E. and Jillian B. Anderer both of Needham, she was the dear daughter of Margaret (Gibbons) and the late Joseph Angelo of Islip, Long Island, NY. Sister of Michael Angelo of Boca Raton, FL, Cathy Green of Selden, Long Island, NY and Mary DeRuvo of Islip, Long Island, NY. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, Needham, on Monday June 25th at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Sunday from 4-8 PM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury. Donations in Ellen's name may be made to the St. Joseph Schools STEP (Student Teacher Enrichment Program), c/o Advancement Office – Step, 1382 Highland Ave Needham MA.
