Don Edward Royer, 87, of Linton, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Born in Coalmont, on Oct. 23, 1919, he was the son of John Harve and Stella May (Nicholson) Royer. He married Dorothy (Blanton) Lynn on February 15, 1983. He worked for the Mobil Oil Company Refinery and retired in 1984. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army. While in the service, he received the EAME Theater ribbon with two Bronze Stars. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lynn Royer; two sons: Martell (Kathy) Royer of Merrillville, and Ronlin Lee (Phyllis Hallett) Royer of Abiquiu, NM; two daughters: Utahna Dawn (Richard) Ordyna of Mountain Green, UT, and Deena Kay (James) Zieglosky of Morgan, UT; Stepchildren: Robert Alan (Connie) Lynn of Riley, Diana (Dan) Lahmann of Linton, and Barbara (Lynn) Bland of Bedford; 13 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Laura Edith Royer, Gwenneth Revel Royer, three brothers, Alto Eldo Royer, Don Edward Royer and Delmar Leon Royer. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton on Monday with Bishop Joe Wilson officiating. Graveside services and interment will be Monday, July 2 with full military rites in the Morgan Cemetery in Morgan, Utah.
