Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29th at 11:00 AM in Trinity United Methodist Church, Raeford, NC. Burial will be held on Monday, July 1st at 10:00 AM in the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Bragg, NC.
He is survived by: wife, Edna; children: Edward Bennett, Jr., Preston Chaplin and Sonya Bennett-Jordan; brother, Isaiah Smith; sister, Priscilla Smith; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday, June 28th from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
