Jewel Shannon, 82, of Amarillo, died Monday, March 13, 2000.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Wendell Leach officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mrs. Shannon was born in Lelia Lake and moved to Amarillo in 1985 from Burkburnett. A homemaker, she was a member of the Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Los Amores Sunday School Class.
She married Walter B. Shannon in 1953 at Tucumcari, N.M.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Beverley Reeves and Barbara Denham, both of Amarillo; a sister, Crystal Anderson of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, 1016 Roberts, Amarillo, TX 79102; or Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice of Amarillo.
