Daughter of William G. and Minnie J. Black; wife of Duncan Kersey. She was a teacher in the Little Rock and Portland public schools, originator of the Kersey Marionettes (a puppet show for children in the public schools) and later directed the Kersey School of Dramatic Arts in Portland. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church in Little Rock.
