Annie Comfort (Mullins) Arnold was born on August 2, 1860 in Tennessee, the daughter of James M Mullins (1837–1926) and Lettie M (Shofner) Mullins (1841–1911).

She was married to James Terry "Babe" Arnold (1855-1926) on December 28, 1879 in Bedford County, Tennessee, and he was the son of Robert A Arnold (1832–1907) and his wife Sophronia (Woods) Arnold (1831–1882).

Living at 1808 8th Avenue South in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, Annie was 68 years old and a widow when she died at home on April 28,1929 of chronic myocarditis. Burial was the next day in Bedford County, Tennessee beside her husband.
