Carol Lynn Tucker Hunt 76, a resident of Newtown, MO, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Newtown Christian Church, Newtown. Burial will be in Brackett Cemetery east of Newtown. Family visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the church. Memorial to: Brackett Cemetery and may be left of mailed to Slater-Neal Funeral Home, Trenton, MO.
Carol was born October 1, 1942 at Newtown the daughter of C.W. and Pauline Peters Tucker. She graduated from Newtown-Harris High School. Before retiring she was employed by Newtown-Harris School District as a teacher’s aide and secretary.
Carol was a member of the Newtown Christian Church, the Newtown Harris Service Sorority, Harris Town and Country Club and the Stich and Chatter Club. She enjoyed her weekly dominoes match with her neighbors and working in her yard with her flowers and purple martins.
On August 14, 1960 she was married at Lamont, MO. to Donald L. Hunt. He preceded her death on January 2, 2013.
Her survivors include one daughter Donna Prothero and husband Greg, Braymer, MO. Two sisters Janice Otto and husband Art, Newtown and Joyce Yardley and husband Les, Lake Ozark, MO. One brother Lowell Tucker and companion Donna Haley, Milan, MO. One grandson Ryan Palmer and wife Leah, Kansas City, Mo. and one great granddaughter Eloise Palmer, Kansas City. One sister-in-law Melanie Finley and husband David, Stet, MO. One brother-in-law Ronald Hunt and wife Cheryl, Osage Beach, MO. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents and husband.
