SCOTT MORRISON BUTLER, age 78 of Murfreesboro died January 1, 2009. He was a native of Petersburg, TN, and the son of the late, Rufus and Annie Marie Scott Butler. Visitation will be Friday 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Hinkle, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Jean Craig Butler, sons, Mark (Ellyn) Butler, Jeff (Kathryn) Butler all of Murfreesboro; step-children, Carol Havens of TX, Calvin Craig of VA, Martin Craig of TX; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Butler was a member of First Presbyterian Church and retired from South Central Bell after 42 years of service. He was an Army veteran.
