Chad was a 2008 Graduate of Goshen High School, and a Graduate with Honors from Indiana University in 2018.
Chad enjoyed everything about Chicago, and eventually wanted to work there with White Lodging. He enjoyed travel, trying new things, and I.U. sports. However, he was the happiest spending time with family.
Chad’s love of life was evident to everyone around him. Everywhere he was from the time he was a child at the Boys & Girls Club in Goshen through College through his work, he left a mark with everyone he met.
He is survived by his parents, Michael (Pam) Smith, Goshen and Linda (David Johns) Smith, Massillon, Ohio; sisters, Amanda (Keith) Eberhardt, Canton, Ohio and Ashley Smith, Goshen; grandparents, Carol Johns, Massillon, Ohio and Lester (Marilyn) Burkey and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Friday, June 28, 2019, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. On Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10 a.m., a funeral was conducted at Sugar Grove Church, with Pastor Ian McClellan officiating. Burial followed in Violett Cemetery.
