Mom was born in Everton, Missouri and married my dad Clark Woodrow Webster in Everton in 1928. Dad was born in Des Moines, Iowa. They moved to California around 1930. They had 7 children, including 2 sets of twins. Mom was a great cook and in the early 30's she cooked at Pioneer Station, near Jackson, California. When WW2 broke out, my family was living at Parson's ranch in Clarksburg in the Sacramento delta area. Mom cooked the meals for the hired hands. Dad was a foreman in the sprawling asparagus and sugar beet fields. Later Mom worked as a sales clerk in several downtown Sacramento department stores. Mom was devoted to the Lord, having become truly born again in the 1980s.
