Enlisted 09 Sep 1861 in Dallas County, TX. Elected Capt. upon enlistment. Resigned May 1862 and discharged due to conscript law.
Came to Texas in 1852 from Missouri, settling in the Lancaster area. Farmer, teacher and lawyer, State Senator 1876-1880. Married, probably in Missouri, to Emily Green born 07 Feb 1825 died 10 Aug 1917. Single famiy marker on grave.
