Life Legacy

Howard Lee King was born July 11, 1968, to James and Ann King in Houston, TX, and passed away in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on November 3, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Howard was a graduate of Cypress Creek High School and Wyoming Technical Institute.

From an early age, Howard possessed a knack for repairing most anything, which led him to a career in auto mechanics and later on with SOFEC, Inc., where he was employed as an Installation Specialist. Later into his technical career, he discovered a love of traveling abroad, but was always happy to return home to his family in Texas. During his off days, Howard could be found fishing various lakes or the bay. He also enjoyed playing golf with his buddies, but admitted this was not his strongest sport. Howard never met a stranger, never shied away from a good steak, and he cared deeply for his friends and family.

Howard is survived by his daughter, Tiffany King of League City, TX; his son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Shelby of Kyle, TX; his grandson, Baby King who is due in February 2019; his daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Ryan Massey of Tomball, TX; his grandson and granddaughter, Logan and Lylah; his mother, Ann King of Waller, TX; his sister and brother-in-law, Kelli and Jeff Slaga of Lufkin, TX; his nieces, Brittany and Camryn Slaga and his nephew, Blake of Lufkin, TX; and the loving mother of his children, Cindy King of Brenham, TX.

He was preceded in death by his father, James "Jimmy" King and his sister, Tracie Lynn King.

Howard will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 16, at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston, TX 77065. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 17, in the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow in Perry Cemetery, Houston.

If desired, memorial donations may be made in Howard's name to the Donor's choice.
