Jenkins, Danny, age 70, lifelong resident of Tellico Plains, went to his heavenly home on Monday, June 24, 2019. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones. Danny proudly served in the U.S. Army and defended our country in the Vietnam War. He was combat wounded and was a Purple Heart and Bronze medal recipient; member of Unaka Lodge 651 F & AM, Tellico Plains. He worked and retired from TVA at Watts Bar Dam. Danny was a loving father and grandfather, friend to many and loved by all.
Survivors, daughters and sons-in-law, Angie Jenkins and Ronnie Freeman, Claire Cheek and Mark Cheek; grandchildren; Jake Ellis and wife Morgan; Caleb Ellis; Vicki Harmon and husband Cody Harmon, Valerie Cheek and Lucas Cheek; great grandchildren; Eli and Kayden Ellis; brother; Charlie Jenkins; sisters; Wilma Jones and Margaret Franklin. Preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Pat Jenkins and brother Reed Jenkins.

Interment 11:00 a.m. Friday, Center Cemetery with military honors provided by V.F.W. Post 5156, D.A.V. Chapter 93 and American Legion Post 106. The Family will receive friends 6-7:45 p.m. Thursday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains.
