Edward Franklin, age 79, of Clarkson, KY, died at his home early on the morning of June 24. He was born in Grayson County on August 19, 1939, the son of Beryl Kelly Franklin and Katherine Fulkerson Franklin.

Ed was a husband, father and grandfather, a builder by trade and a member of Little Clifty United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Kirk (Meyers) Franklin, a daughter, Amy Allen (Michael), a son, Kelly Franklin and two grandchildren, Ashley and Alexander Allen. Surviving also are two brothers Rowan (Buck) Franklin (Dixie) and Marcus Franklin (Kay), and one sister, Lillian Bratcher (Clyde).

All services for Edward Franklin will be held on Friday, June 28 at Little Clifty United Methodist Church, 32 Little Clifty Church Rd. (Hwy 1068) Big Clifty, KY

Visitation is from 12 noon until 3 pm, followed by the funeral and burial in the church cemetery. Pastors Sean Mitchell and Lee Schorerlucke will be conducting the service.
