Obituary for Clara Powers Bryant
Clara Powers Bryant, of Toccoa, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019, at the age of 90. Mrs. Bryant was a member of New Haven Congregational Holiness in Gainesville. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carter Hill; second husband, Leonard Bryant; son, Marshall Anderson; parents, Elmer and Lucille Powers; sister, Mattie Lee Powers; brothers, Cecil Powers, James Powers.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Lanier Martin; grandchildren, Jason and Kim Martin, Jonathan and Angel Martin, Joshua and Mariah Martin, Joel and Shelley Martin, James and Brandy Martin, Mark Anderson, David Anderson, Teresa Anderson, Grady Marshall Anderson, April Anderson; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Bobbie Chamblee, Lelia Rupe, Marjorie Hailey, Mary and Gene Baker, Stella Garland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jessie and Odessa Powers, Edward and Carol Powers; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Bryant will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2019, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Lanier Martin, Rev. Wayne Hicks and Rev. Joshua Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. Friends may visit with Mrs. Bryant’s family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
