Doris Belcher Porter, age 91, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019, at her home. Doris was born on May 13, 1928 to her parents the late Victor Belcher and Cordelia Osborne Belcher. She was the wife of the late Billy Joe Porter, a former school teacher, beautician, and the owner of Dorton Skating Rink and Giovanni's pizza at Dorton, a Ky. Colonel, and a member of the Dorton Freewill Baptist Church.

Along with her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by one brother, James Belcher.

Doris is survived by one son, Gary Joe (Pamela) Porter, one brother, Arnold Belcher, two sisters, Stella Cook, Loraine Potter, two grandchildren, Megan (Trevor) Bryan, Dustin Porter, three great grandchildren, Kaya, Mya, and C.J., and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday June 28, 2019 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Dorton Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Victor Belcher Cemetery at Blaze Branch at Dorton, Ky.
