Paul C. Ross, 64, of Connersville, died Friday, June 22nd, 2007, at Fayette Regional Health System.

He was born March 9, 1943 in Ida May, Kentucky to Ralph and Clara Cornett Ross. On May 27, 1963, he married the former Bernice Marcum in Lee County Kentucky. Paul and his family moved to Connersville in 1966. Paul was employed by H.H. Robertson as a Teamster for 18 years. In 1986 he began driving a Semi for Fraley and Schilling Inc. of Rushville Indiana until he retired in 2004.

He was a devoted husband, grandfather and friend to many. In his middle years, Paul enjoyed rebuilding engines and restoring cars. Having owned and driven a racecar at Whitewater Valley Raceway, NASCAR was a natural hobby for him. He enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing, yard work and especially his large vegetable garden. Paul enjoyed Bluegrass music and most of all the friendships made at Harvest Time Restaurant in
Everton.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice; two daughters and their husbands: Pam and Tom Burk of Connersville, and Paula and Art Belknap of
Fairfield, Ohio; three grandchildren: Tommy Ross Burk and Sarah Nicole Burk of Connersville, and Nicholas Paul Belknap of Fairfield, Ohio; a
sister: Bernice Raymer of Kingsland, Georgia; several nieces and nephews and friends.

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Pastor Randall Collins of Connersville Baptist-Temple officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery, Connersville. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, June 25, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. where memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Society.
