Marcus was born Oct. 12, 1991, in Bloomington, the son of Michael and Pam Harris.
Marcus is survived by his parents; a loving big brother, Michael Jr. (Mika); two nephews, Michael III and Miles; his paternal grandfather, George Harris; his maternal grandmother, Lucille Johnson and his cousin (sister-in-heart), Shanna (Eugene) Love. Marcus is also survived by his uncles, Timothy Grant, Anthony (Kela) Grant, Clinton (Paulette) Alexander and Marsean Sims and his aunts, Tammy Johnson, Cathy (Earl) Jones, Candice (Rashad) Williams, Kia Butler and Heaven and Cashay Sims. He leaves to cherish his memories a host of cousins, friends and teammates.
Marcus entered this world with a bang; he was four weeks early and was born with a full baby tooth. Marcus attended Unit 5 schools and graduated from Normal Community High School. While in high school, he excelled in academics, played football, basketball and ran track. Marcus was also voted "Best Body" in his graduating class. The highlight of his high school athletic career was going to the state track finals in Charleston where he earned four track medals, which consisted of two individual medals and two team medals. Marcus attended Illinois State University where he played football on scholarship for two years. Marcus accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized by his father. Marcus' favorite hobby was making beats and music. He absolutely loved the Miami Hurricanes.
He will be deeply missed and finally he is at peace.
