Joshua David Davis, 38, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he graduated third in his class from Paul Harding High School.
He served his country in the US Army operating during Iraqi Freedom and Hurricane Katrina and received an achievement medal for his service. He continued on to serve in the Indiana Army National Guard and also worked at Concordia Lutheran High School and NISCO.
He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Davis of Fort Wayne; siblings, Kenneth (Andrea) Hartup of New Haven, John Davis II, Jason (Amanda) Davis, and Heather Hartup-Anderson all of Fort Wayne, Lorelie (Jeff) Davis-Craig of Sevierville, TN, and Heidi (Travis) Davis-Cline of Indianapolis.
He was also preceded in death by his father, John Davis; brother, David Davis; and grandfather, Cecil Davis.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Marion National Cemetery, Marion.
