Gladys Olson, 96, Fargo, North Dakota passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at The Meadows on University in Fargo.

She was born on November 11, 1922 to Arne and Maria (Nelson) Arneson at Butte, North Dakota. She attended elementary school in Butte and graduated from high school in Glenburn, North Dakota.

On July 25, 1942 Gladys was united in marriage to Harold Olson in Malta, Montana. The couple farmed near Upham, North Dakota where they raised their two children. Gladys lived on the farm for 42 years before moving to Fargo in 1991. She was proud of her life on the farm where she was an avid gardener.

Gladys was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Upham, which was central in her life. She was active in LWML and Homemakers.

In Fargo, Gladys was active at Immanuel Lutheran Church where she made close friends. They traveled frequently, including a trip to the Holy Land.

Gladys cherished the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Lyle) Brandt and Darrell (Sandy) Olson; sisters, Ardella LaPointe, Helen Meyers, and Ethel Lloyd; grandchildren, Steve (Sandy) Brandt, Tom (Erika) Brandt, Amy (Brian) McReynolds, and Eric (Aimee) Olson; and 10 great-grandchildren.
