Ward, SC – Martha Padgett Rodgers of Ward, 85 passed away June 23, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Saluda, SC the daughter of the late Walter and Angeline Padgett, she is the wife of the late Albert Rodgers. Mrs. Rodgers worked in textiles and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church.

Surviving are her four sons and two daughters, Randy Rodgers (Rose), Roy W. Rodgers (late Ann Rodgers), Buck Rodgers (Donna), Steve Rodgers, Donna McCormick (late Calvin McCormick), and Judy Wootton (TJ) all of Ward; 12 grandchildren, Connie Ray, Kenneth Whitfield, Lester Whitfield, Sherry Rodgers-Rowe, Patricia Bodie, Lisa McCormick, Andy Rodgers, Blake Wootton, Allen Rodgers, Angie Gibson, Tiffany Shaw, and Lance Rodgers; 24 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, her beloved dog Lucy, a brother, Ralph Padgett of Ohio, and four special nieces, Linda Orr, Margaret Padgett, Sally Padgett, and Francis Branham.

Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held at the Social Hall of St. Williams Catholic Church in Ward, SC Tuesday June 25, 2019 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Services will be held at St. Williams Catholic Church in Ward, SC Wednesday June 26, 2019 at11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Williams Catholic Church Cemetery.

The family of Martha Rodgers would like to give special thanks to Dr. Sawyer (Dr. Bill), MSA Hospice and nurses, and a special thanks to Belinda Rushton for all her years of care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family through Ramey Funeral Home, PO Box 458, Saluda, SC 29138.
