From his CSA pension paperwork on line in the Georgia Archives virtual vault, he served in Company I of the 24th GA Vols. He contracted measles in Oct 1861 while with his unit in Washington, N.C. He had a relapse and problems from that late in the war, was sent home on 30 day leave. When he tried to get back, the surrender came. His date of birth from his own application.
His date and place of death is from his wife's Application and other paperwork also in the GA archives virtual vault. Proof of Mrs. Flora E. Terrell's death on 25 June 1923 is also included.
He is assumed buried in an unmarked grave near hers in this same cemetery with others of the family.
