Doris Joan McKinney, 86, of Covington, IN, formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 10:50am, Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born on August 27, 1932, in Danville, IL, the daughter of William and Naomi {Kiger} Tinder, both deceased. She was united in marriage to George McKinney on March 24, 1950, until his passing in 1995.

Doris is survived by: her sons, George W. (Susan) McKinney Jr., Bruce McKinney, & Steve McKinney; her sister, Lois; her five grandchildren; and her seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Denis; her four brothers; and one sister.

Doris enjoyed playing Bingo and reading. She especially enjoyed traveling through the United States with her husband, George. She will be missed by all those who loved her.
