Bonnie Rae Hale, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2019 surrounded by family. Bonnie was born in Brazil, Indiana to Robert and Mildred Malsom and is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Dan Hale, siblings, Rod (Marti) Malsom , Barb (Kenn) Miller, Dean (Sandy) Malsom, Randy (Susan) Malsom, her children and grandchildren. Bonnie was happily married to her college sweetheart, Dan, for 55 years.

They enjoyed travel and mission work together all over the world. During their marriage they had 5 children, Dana (Charles) Helton, Darin (Betty) Hale, Fernando Hale, Benjamin Hale and Meredith (Brandon) Maroney. From her 5 children Bonnie was blessed to have been given 19 grandchildren, Megan, Holly, Ben, Camille, Destiny, Charlie, Alexandra, Victoria, Olivia, Samantha, Johnathon, Brady, Bayless, Boone, Banks, Briston, Beauchamp, Ellery and Abner and 3 great grandchildren, Parker, Everly and Michael. Bonnie was always most proud of her titles Mother and Nana.

She will be remembered by her family and all who knew her for her fun spirit, wittiness, overwhelming kindness and generosity. Bonnie was a faithful Christian and had a special place in her heart for missions, particularly to the country of Benin, Africa where she had special friends, Michel and Mirielle. She and her husband, Dan, attended church at La Gran Comision in Morristown where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and mentoring women and young children.

Special thanks to her caregivers, Araceli Chino, Valentina Gonzalez, Bea Holston and her hospice nurse, Cyndee Inman.

Services for Bonnie will be held at La Gran Comision in Morristown, Tn on Tuesday, June 25. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm and a memorial service will begin at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, Bonnie had asked for donations to her mission work in Benin where she helped establish a school and orphanage. Donations may be sent to Emmanuel Baptist Church, c/o Traveling Mercy Ministries: orphanage fund, 1916 Overlook Avenue, Jefferson City, TN 37760. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
