Gladys Marie Thompson Morgan, 99

Gladys Marie Thompson Morgan, McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Gladys Marie Thompson Morgan, age 99, was born February 10, 1923 and died June 19, at her residence following an extended illness.

A retired employee of Bastesville Casket Company and member of Ivy Bluff Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John Calvin and Lillie Mae Abel Thompson. She was married August 26, 1939 to Ernest E. Morgan who preceded her tin death January 12, 1997. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Elaine McCullough and Mary Sandra Morgan and three sisters, Arlene Lewis, Della Holloway and Pauline Gossettee.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by one son, Terry R. Morgan of Texas; six grandchildren, Jay Johnson, Lynette ( Bryan ) Nix, Mae cAnne (Brandon) Hale and Jonathan ( Karen) McCullough all of Coffee County, TN and Angelia Morgan and Arron (Jennifer) Morgan both of Aiken, SC, eleven great grandchildren; sister, Ella ( Paul) Wooten of Chattanooga, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in High's Funeral Chapel with Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Ivy Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 a.m until time of service Wednesday at High's.
