Melissa “Missy” Davis Taylor, age 48, of Higgston, died Saturday, June 22, 2019, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness. She was a native of Vidalia, a 1988 graduate of Vidalia Comprehensive High School, and was a graduate of Dublin Careers of Cosmetology. She lived in Montgomery County most of her life and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Vidalia. She was a hairdresser and the former owner of Total Hair and Body.
Missy is survived by her husband, Lee Taylor of Higgston; two children, Jonathan Kye McDonald of the Normantown Community, and Natalie Brie Harrelson of Higgston; her mother, Elaine Sheppard of Higgston; her father, Johnny Davis of Collins; one sister, Macie Davis of Pooler; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Clarence Best officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
